"The Truth about Youth"
by Taylor Colbert

"There together are two friends.
One is silent, one is loud.
Always hanging out 'til the night bestows upon them.

Never would you think,
in all the years ahead,
would these two best friends break away so fast.

One grew wild, finding pleasure in the darkened
crowd. The other stayed silent, scared of the change
that might come.

There together are two friends.
One is silent, one is not.
Friends forever since young childhood.

Never would you think,
in all the years ahead,
would these two best friends break away so fast.

One grew wild, finding pleasure in the dark, all
the things to make you faint from shock.
The other stayed silent, fearful for the friend living in the dark.

The truth about youth is that
no one really cares anymore.
Blame each other's children for the wrong
of their own. Never even knowing the truth behind the story.

The truth about youth is that
no one is protecting them from the evil
in this world.
Every gang banger, murderer and robber were once
a child in this messed up world, too.

The truth about youth...
No one seems to care anymore.
"
"I am afraid that the schools
will prove the very gates of hell,
unless they diligently labor in explaining the
Holy Scriptures and engraving them in the heart of the youth.
" -Martin Luther

Kids today, they don't know what's right, they don't even know what's wrong either!
